Lusty Sunrise
These earrings are inspired by a poem entitled "Lusty Sunrise" which I wrote about one of so many radiant mornings waking up at sea. There's definitely a magic in waking at dawn, even in the rain, and going through the routines of getting the boat in gear to fish. There is a sacredness in the tasks done without speaking. Waking at dawn to a brilliantly rising sun and the promise of a clear, calm day is a magic of another kind. A kind that's jubilant, wide-eyed and worthy of a short verse!
Brass, recycled sterling silver, 14 kt gold solder, glass beads, nylon thread. Measures 2 1/2"H x 1 1/16"W (including ear wire). A printed copy of the original poem will be included.
